It is a fact that foods are healing. For instance Garlic is known to be antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. Garlic therefore is great to eat when are fighting a cold or other infections.
Ginger is good for an upset stomach or sore throat. Try drinking ginger tea or tea with it to soothe a sore throat. I became carsick once and drank ginger beer which helped a lot.
Bee Pollen has natural antibiotic qualities and it is suggested to take 1 to 2 tablespoons per day.
Mushrooms have been proven for their immune boosting ability and they are easy to add to your salad and even your spaghetti sauce.
If we know that foods can heal and they each have different qualities then it would only be correct to assume that if we change our diet to whole organic foods that we would become healthier.
Fact: Sixty Percent of Americans are overweight and Thirty Percent are Obese and these numbers are going up every day.
What is different? Yes, Our food source. Instead of eating off the land we are eating out of plastic packages on the shelves and in the freezer. We are eating foods that have been microwaved, with foods additive list is longer than the food item on the package ingredients. What are these food additives doing to us? In order to feel better we have added supplements of vitamins and minerals and probiotics.
Why now? Why are we having to add all of these supplements to feel better? Could it be that our food is lacking in the nutrients because of the process it goes through to make it last longer on the shelf.
We need the nutrients in essentials fats in whole foods to boost our IQ. We need the vitamins and minerals to boost our immunity. There is a relationship between ADHD and lack of essential fats. Vitamin A is thought to be lacking in autistic children.
There are many people who eat what they should eat, but are lacking in proper nutrition and overweight. Could it be our food supply filled with antibiotics, hormones and chemicals? How much effort does it take our bodies to process these chemicals? Our bodies should be pulling the vitamins and minerals and restoring our bodies with the food we eat, rather than spending time trying to remove the chemicals out of our body? And we wonder why we are fatigued and overweight?
Fact: It is thought that the food we eat is related to accelerated aging and obesity.
There are many diet tips that I can give you like eat whole, organic, raw food as often as you possibly can, avoid sugar and any processed/refined foods.
